Setup

Setting up Evernote is as simple as creating an account and downloading the desktop client. At the free tier, you can only use the Evernote client on two devices, but the web interface is available anywhere.

Configuration

Like Obsidian, Evernote is very customizable and can be whatever one makes of it.

• A useful option is to configure one or more "Import Folders". This designates a specific directory on your system to import any files placed in the directory into Evernote.
