The core or “brains” of a computer. This is the chip that processes all instructions from the software in order to make a computer do all the things it does. Examples are the #intel Pentium and AMD Ryzen processor lines. Nowadays, they have fancy names for a given generation of processor versions, such as “Crater Lake.”
